Mindfulness for Children 5 to 11 years old

An 20-session program to help children develop increased calmness, patience, and the ability to self-console.

Are you at the end of your wit? You’ve tried everything but don’t know how to help your child or students?

They may be struggling to regulate his/her/their emotions, or with their attention (add, adhd), may be having difficulties falling asleep? or maybe having anxious thoughts about everyday life events, anxiety or depression?

Mindfulness can help.

Mindfulness helps children develop increased calmness, patience, and the ability to self-console.

FREE 1st SESSION
Chime to be mindful of sounds

What we do in each session

Except the 1st class where I introduce the program, each session is set as follows:

1. Ring the chime and 1 to 2 min of mindful breathing

2. I ask them if they practiced the technique from the previous session

3. I introduce what we’ll learn in that session, including some questions for them to answer

4. Practice time

5. Time to share what they noticed

6. Questions (if any)

7. Conclusion of what we just learned

8. Invite them to practice for next session, in a different setting than the classroom

9. Ring the chime + 3 mindful breaths

At the end of the class, they will have 1 or 2 pages to complete in their workbook (a reminder of what they just learned) that they will do with the teacher at their own pace.

Children love the chime and the workbook!
